Chimera Axolotl is so rare that there is debate about whether or not it should be classified as a true morph. Chimeras show one morph on one side of their body and another morph on the other half. It is split right down the middle into left and right halves. The few chimeras that have hatched are half albino and half wild-type.
Chimera axolotls only occur when two developing eggs fuse together into one. Most do not hatch because the two eggs did not fuse completely.
Because Chimeras are a developmental accident, and are not caused by genetics, they cannot be selectively bred
